Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette

昨天YouTube跟大家分享過Charlotte Tilbury今年新的聖誕產品，當中的Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette是新色叫Stoned Rose Beauty，亦因為上年我亦買了另一盒同款的叫Gorgeous, Glowing Beauty，我覺得我可以比較一下，如果你已經有上年的那個，今年這個又值不值得你入手。

I did talk about Charlotte Tilbury’s new Christmas items in yesterday’s YouTube video. One of the new products is called Instant Look in a Palette – Stoned Rose Beauty. I got a similar one from last year called Gorgeous, Glowing Beauty, so I thought it would be handy for you if I do a comparison, just in case you have already got the previous version and if you should get the one from this year as well.

這樣大家應該看到顏色不同吧。 起初我見到這個palette的時後我還奇怪顏色會不會跟之前的一樣，雖然兩者都非常相似，但實看顏色確有不同。 當然不是說顏色有太大的分別，但就是那一點點的微調就會斷定究竟哪個palette比較易用，比較多用。

Right, now you can see the colours are different. At first when I got the new palette, I was wondering if the shades are the same. Ah no, though they are very similar, they have a tiny bit of difference. And it’s that tiny tweak determines whether a palette is easy to use, and ultimately useful in general.

我自己比較喜歡今年的Stoned Rose Beauty，原因是主要有兩點 1) 我覺得眼影顏色整體上比上年的淺色一點點，就是那一點點令實用度提昇！ 1號眼影底色用來打亮或者做底色都剛好，不會有過閃的情況出現。 而我非常喜歡2號色，因為淺淺的無論做底色或者單搽也非常完美（上年的2號色實在太深色，日常比較少用到），另外3號matte的加深色也是剛好的玫瑰色，自己控制份量多少就可以配合日常或晚上的妝容。 2。胭脂顏色比較玫瑰coral，大部分膚色都可以handle而且會感覺精神，我將兩個顏色mix起來感覺剛剛好，或者分開用也可以。 而上年的我就覺得5號色過閃，而6號色又太過dusky，如果氣色不好的日子搽了感覺上會更加暗。

I personally vote for this year’s Stoned Rose Beauty, there are mainly 2 big reasons. 1) The eye shadows are of lighter colours than last year’s. And that makes the whole palette way more practical! Shade No.1 can be used as a base colour or as a highlight, for both, this is amazing and it wouldn’t be too shimmery if I use it as a base. Shade No.2 has to be my favourite, it’s light enough to use as a base colour or just on its own (last year’s No.2 is too dark for a normal day), then shade No.3 is a matter rosy smoke colour, I can use this both for day and night time by controlling the amount I use – brilliant! 2) The blushes are more rosy coral, many skin tones can handle them well and they will give the illusion of having good healthy cheeks! I mix the two to use and it feels just the right amount of colour! Of course, they can be used separately and they are just as gorgeous! For last year’s, I feel that No.5 is too shimmery (cannot be used alone) and No.6 is too dusky which could add dullness into Asian skin tones if we don’t have the brightest skin that day.

兩盤的粉質一樣的好，好幼細又好上色。 但整體上我更加喜歡今年的Stoned Rose Beauty，因為顏色踏實，你不需要是化妝天才都可以好快完成一個美美的妝容。 這個palette另一個別號叫5 Minute Face on the Go。我覺得Stoned Rose Beauty 真正可以做到。 上年的那個就是因為顏色問題，我整年都用不到5次，但今年這個我有信心其中一兩個顏色下年會見底！

Both palettes are of great quality, the powder is finely milled and pigmented. However, overall I would vote for Stoned Rose Beauty simply because the colours are practical and you don’t need to be a makeup genius to create a beautiful look. This palette also stress on 5 Minute Face on the Go and I think Stoned Rose Beauty nails this wonderfully. I didn’t get to use more than 5 times for the last year’s due to its colour combination, but I am confident that I will hit pan with some of the shades in this new one.
